Calcium aluminate cement bonded castable is refractory mixture made by calcium aluminate cement binder, refractory aggregate with certain granularity and additives, can be applied by casting method and f required form. The castable can not only be directly used to cast integral inner lining of industrial furnace, but also can be used to make precast block to mason industrial furnace. Based on working condition of industrial furnace, different purity and different classes of calcium aluminate cement and aggregate can be sued to prepare CaO-Al2O3 castable.
There are two kinds of calcium aluminate cement can be used to produce calcium aluminate cement bonded castable: ordinary calcium aluminate cement and pure calcium aluminate cement, which’s raw materials are industrial alumina and lime stone, processed by sintering or fusion. Alumina content of pure calcium aluminate cement is between 71~80%, while CaO content is between 18%~26%.
When clay or high alumina aggregate are used to prepare castable, ordinary calcium aluminate cement is used as binder, when mullite or corundum aggregate are used to prepare castable, pure calcium aluminate cement is used as binder. The weight ratio of calcium aluminate added into castable is between 10%~15%.

When high purity calcium aluminate cement is used as binder, sintered or fused corundum is usually used as aggregate. The granularity and required cement quantity is similar to ordinary calcium aluminate cement bonded castable.
Calcium Aluminate Cement Bonded Castable Application
Calcium aluminate cement bonded castable is the most widely used castable in unshaped refractory field. The max working temperature of clay castable is between 1300~1450℃, clay castable is usually used as inner lining of steel rolling heating furnaces, all kinds of heat treatment furnaces, boilers, vertical kilns and rotary kiln preheating zone. The max working temperature of high alumina castable is between 1400℃~1550℃, it can be used as all kinds of heat treatment furnaces inner linings and burning nozzles, inner linings of electric furnace tapping spout, lime kiln high temperature zone, rotary kiln head power plant boilers, etc. The max working temperature of corundum castable is between 1500℃~1650℃, it is mainly used as linings of various kinds of high temperature furnaces and high temperature components, such as dip pipe outer lining of steel liquid vacuum degassing equipment, injection metallurgy and lining of argon blowing integral lance, electric furnaces triangle zone lining, LF furnace lid, high temperature abrasion resistant lining of petrochemical industry catalytic cracking reactor and so on.
