Corundum brick is a refractory product with a content of alumina more than 90% and the principal crystalline phase is corundum, which has the characteristics of high cold compressive strength (up to 340MPa), high load softening start temperature (more than 1700 degrees C). good chemical stability, strong resistance to acid or basic slag, metal, and glass liquid. The thermal shock stability is related to its structure, and the corrosion resistance of the compact products is good, but the thermal shock stability is poor. It is divided into sintered corundum brick and electric fused corundum brick.

Application of Corundum Bricks
It is mainly used in ironmaking furnaces and blast furnaces hot blast stoves, refining furnaces outside steelmaking furnaces, sliding water devices, glass furnaces, and petrochemical industrial furnaces.
Corundum brick has been widely used in the lining material of high temperature, high pressure, chemical corrosion, and mechanical wear of the petrochemical thermal device, with the improvement of petrochemical industry production technology, many new processes and new technologies used in production to enable the equipment to achieve the large load, long cycle, low energy consumption, low cost, in addition to the transformation of various thermal equipment, put forward higher requirements but also various lining materials on thermal equipment. In order to meet the needs of the petrochemical industry, a series of chromium corundum products with better resistance to high temperature and corrosion resistance have been developed.

Good chemical stability.
Strong resistance to acid and basic slag erosion.
Strong resistance to metal and molten glass erosion.
Dense products have strong resistance to erosion, but their thermal shock resistance is weak.
