The phosphate bonded high alumina refractory brick is a kind of refractory peroducts which is made of compact superior grade or first grade high alumina vanadium soil clinker as main raw material, phosphoric acid solution or aluminum phosphate solution as binder. After semi dry mechanical pressing and molding, it is made into chemical bonded refractory products with 400-600 degrees centigrade heat treatment. It belongs to the baking-free brick, in order to avoid the large shrinkage in the processing of using products in high temperature, the heating expansion raw materials generally need to be introduced in the ingredients, such as kyanite, sillimanite, pyrophyllite and silica. Compared with ceramic fired high alumina brick, its anti-stripping is better, but its load softening temperature is low and its corrosion resistance is poor. Therefore, a small amount of fused corundum and mullite need to be added to enhance the substrate.
Phosphate bonded high alumina refractory bricks are suitable for cement kiln, electric furnace top, ladle and so on. The ordinary high alumina brick was impregnated in phosphate, and after drying out, it was found that the load softening temperature of the original high alumina brick increased. After phosphate impregnation, the porosity is obviously reduced, the volume density increases, and the flexural strength increases obviously. The quality of high alumina brick can be improved by impregnating with phosphate, can prolong the service life of the brick can be prolonged.
Properties of Phosphate Bonded Alumina Brick
Phosphate wear resistant high alumina brick is a refractory brick made by special process and adopt chemical additives on the basis of ordinary phosphate bonded high alumina brick, and its wear resistance and load softening temperature have been greatly improved. Its high temperature behavior and thermal shock resistance are also better than those of phosphate bonded high alumina brick, which has high compressive strength at room temperature, good thermal shock stability, good wear resistance and strong slag resistance.
Application of Phosphate Bonded High Alumina Bricks
The phosphate bonded high alumina brick is used in the preheating zone of rotary kiln and shaft kiln, high temperature belts and tuyere bricks of cement industry . The product has the characteristics of high strength, strong wear resistance and good thermal shock resistance. It is suitable for all kinds of cement kilns, and the effect is good.
