lightweight refractory brick belongs to refractory brick, according to the material classification, it can be divided into light weight clay brick, lightweight high alumina refractory brick, and lightweight mullite brick. In the industrial furnace masonry, light weight refractory brick can strengthen the thermal storage function of the kiln, and can prevent the heat loss of kiln, it plays an important role. Today I will make a brief introduction about lightweight refractory brick used in industrial kiln.
Lightweight Clay Bricks
Lightweight fire clay bricks which content of Al₂O₃ is 30%~46% use calcined fire clay or lightweight clinker and plastic clay as main raw material, generally produced by inclusion of combustible materials as well as chemical coagulation or foam separation can form porous structure. They are an ideal kind of energy conserving products, which can be widely used as linings or as thermal perservation layers in various industrial furnaces and kilns in metallurgical industry, ceramic industry, chemical industry and machinery industry.
Lightweight High Alumina Bricks
The light weight high alumina bricks are used for the liner and thermal protective coating, and the parts which have no erosion and erode of high temperature melting material, when directly contact with the fire, the surface contact temperature can not exceed 1350 ℃.The light weight high alumina bricks can be applied to many fields, such as furnace lining and insulation layers, ceramic tunnel kiln, heating furnace and coking furnace in iron and steel industry.
The 3Al₂O₃•2SiO₂ is as principal crystalline phase and binder phase of light weight mullite brick, choose the excellent high purity refractory powder, according to the products requirement proportion, add organic compound filler, it is a new kind of insulation refractory material made by vacuum extrusion molding, high temperature sintering and preparation and processing.
Owing to the mullite brick has the properties of excellent high temperature mechanical properties and chemical stability, lightweight mullite brick has advantages of high temperature structure strength, low temperature creep rate, small coefficient of thermal expansion, strong chemical resistance, good thermal shock resistance, etc.
The above is the brief introduction about lightweight refractory bricks used for industrial furnace, if you want to know about refractory bricks in details, you can feel free to contact with RS refractory manuafacturer.
