Sillimanite brick is made of sillimanite kind mineral, adopt high temperature firing or mud casting to make refractory brick with good character. After high-temperature calcination, the sillimanite transferred to mullite and free silicon dioxide. Generallym it adopts high temperature firing and mud casting for production.
Introduction of Silllimanite Brick
Sillimanite brick is a kind of high grade refractory mineral, it has the characteristics of low thermal expansion rate, resistance to metallurgical slag and various glass liquid, good wear resistance of high temperature. Its physical and chemical property is better than high alumina brick, the refractoriness is 1770~1830℃, refractory under load starting point is 1500~1650℃.The sillimanite bricks are used in throat formation of glass kiln, liner of blast furnace, furnace throat and ceramic industry kiln furniture, furnace throat. And the refractory which are mainly made of natural sillimanite also have these advantages. So, siliimanite refractory material is widely used in metallurgy, chemical industry and building materials, etc.
